One of the most common doors fitted in Ireland is the Munster
joinery door. In fact I read on a trade site that over 80% of homes in
Ireland have these doors fitted. A cylinder lock could not be fitted properly to these
doors , Meaning the lock is fitted flush with the handles on both inside and outside
because of the unusual depth of the door.
Now a lock manufacturer has ended this problem with a new
product, Before the nearest size cylinder would protrude approximately 5mm on
the outside handle leaving it vulnerable to attack from an unwanted source.
These new cylinder locks 22/10/35 in size
67mm overall making a perfect fit, And come with a sacrificial anti snap
end as standard.
They are available in nickel or brass with or without
additional thumbturn , And can be supplied and fitted as part of a keyed alike
system
