Seized multi point lock
This is a multi point lock that was taken out of a seized door in Galway City. The door had to be prized open first before the mpl could be changed. It was a Gu Ferco lock more commonly know as the Munster joinery lock, Which has now been discontinued by the manufacturer. Luckily I have been able to secure an alternative supply.

Just got home from fitting an underfloor safe in a pub in County Roscommon, A wise decision considering the amount of safes ( that were securely fixed to the wall and sold by an experienced national hardware / DIY outlet) that have ended up at the bottom of local river with its contents gone. Maybe locksmiths should start selling garden hoses and gloss paint, Horses for courses I suppose. No joking now a correctly fitted insurance rated underfloor safe is about the best form of real physical security a home or bussines can invest in.
